About K-Beauty Vibe
K-Beauty Vibe tracks Korean market rankings, review-platform signals, global
marketplace search positions, and international storefront availability. Each
source is kept separate instead of being blended into one “winner” list.
Who this is for
Shoppers outside Korea who want a sense of what’s actually popular in
Korea right now, and how that compares to what’s popular where they can
actually buy it. A product doing well on a Korean sales chart isn’t
necessarily available – or trending the same way – overseas, and that gap is
the main thing this site tries to make visible.
Why compare Korea and global rankings separately
Olive Young Korea is used as a Korea market signal. Olive Young Global is
used only for storefront information such as international availability,
price, rating, and review count; its presence is not treated as proof of
global customer popularity. Amazon positions are search positions unless an
official category rank is explicitly captured. Hwahae is a Korean review
signal. These figures are never averaged into an overall score.
How often rankings update
Rankings are re-checked on a regular pipeline run and rank history is kept
per product, so you can see whether something is climbing, falling, or
holding steady. Exact timing depends on each source’s own site being
reachable at run time – see Methodology for
what happens when a source can’t be reached.
Rankings vs. recommendations
The lists on this site reflect what each platform is currently showing,
not an editorial pick by K-Beauty Vibe. See our
Editorial Policy for how we keep the two
separate.
