Why do the two depth numbers differ?
The model page currently shows 26¾ inches, while the family planning document shows 26½ inches with the towel-bar handle. We have not established the reason for that ¼-inch difference. Neither number should be silently substituted for the other.
For an island, drawer or door that nearly touches the handle, ask the seller or installer to verify the exact unit and document revision. A larger planning number can flag a potential conflict, but it cannot resolve an undocumented specification difference.
Check the opening before removing the old dishwasher
The guide identifies WDT750SAK among the covered families. Its minimum-height note includes removal of feet and the perforated insulation section where required. That means “33⅝ inches minimum” is conditional, not a promise that the delivered machine slides into every opening of that height.
Measure from the finished floor to the lowest underside of the countertop. Check the front and back, then inspect for trim or protrusions. Flooring added after the old dishwasher was installed can also make the exit and replacement opening different.
At a corner
The guide calls for at least 2 inches between the side of the dishwasher door and the adjacent wall or cabinet.
Opposite an island
Compare the open-door reach with the space available, then separately consider where you will stand to unload.
The leveling-foot extension in revision F is 1 7/16 inches. This corrects the earlier version of this article, which stated 1⅞ inches. Do not use leveling range as a substitute for checking the opening and the installation procedure.
What to send your installer
Share three opening measurements—width, height and depth—plus photos of the floor edge, adjacent cabinets and connections. Note whether a drawer or refrigerator door opens into the same space. Water, drain routing, electrical work and securing the machine must follow the installation instructions supplied with it.
