GE GDF670SYVFS Dimensions: Size and Cabinet-Height Check

Quick answer: GE lists the GDF670SYVFS at 23 3/4 inches wide × 34 inches high × 24 inches deep. Its product table gives a 24 × 24-inch cutout footprint. Opening height needs an extra check: the product table and the installation document currently linked by GE give different height guidance.

Why 33 1/2 inches is not a confirmed fit

The published documents do not agree on opening height. GE’s product table lists a 33 1/2-inch cutout. The installation PDF linked from this model’s Owner Center, document 31-4000322 Rev. 1 (June 2026), describes an approximately 34 1/2-inch opening and specifies a 33 3/4-inch minimum for models with the pan illustrated in that manual.

These are different references, not dimensions to combine or average. Before buying for a tight space, have GE or the installer identify the instructions that apply to the full model on the rating label. A 33 1/2-inch opening should not be approved using this article alone.

The distinction matters most when replacing an older dishwasher under an existing counter. Flooring added after the cabinets were installed can reduce the clear height and create a lip that affects removal as well as installation.

Three checks before delivery

Measure the actual opening

Check width at more than one point and height from the finished floor to the lowest obstruction under the countertop. Record depth without counting space occupied by pipes or fittings.

Check the open door

The closed-appliance depth does not cover an open door, rack access or someone standing at the machine. Check adjacent handles, corners and the aisle in the installation drawing.

Then check the connections. The product page lists 120 V, 60 Hz and 6.6 A. Those appliance ratings alone do not specify the complete branch-circuit installation. Use the applicable installation instructions for the wiring method, water supply and drain arrangement.

If your space is borderline

Send the opening measurements and a rating-label photo to the installer before delivery. Ask for confirmation against the applicable document, particularly if the opening is below the height described in the currently linked instructions. Avoid altering cabinets based only on a retailer’s nominal “24-inch” category.
