Samsung WF45T6000AW Cycles and Settings: What Each Control Offers

Quick answer: The WF45T6000AW has 10 dial cycles, including Self Clean+ for the empty drum. Use the load’s care label to choose a cycle, then adjust the available settings. Spin Only is activated with the Spin button, not by selecting a separate dial cycle.

Choose the cycle for the load

Cycle names may be abbreviated on the panel.
CycleWhat it is for

Perm PressWash-and-wear and synthetic items with light to normal soil.
Rinse+SpinA rinse followed by spinning.
Self Clean+Drum cleaning with no clothing inside.

How to run Spin Only

1. Open Spin Only

With the washer on, hold Spin for 3 seconds. Wait for the cycle time to appear.

2. Select the speed

Press Spin repeatedly to choose an available speed appropriate for the load.

3. Start

Press and hold Start/Pause (Hold to Start).

Need a rinse too?

Choose Rinse+Spin instead. It includes a rinse; Spin Only does not.

Temperature, rinse, spin and soil

The specification sheet names five temperature levels (Hot, Warmer, Warm, Cool, Cold), five spin levels (High through No Spin) and five soil levels (Heavy through Light). The manual also allows selection of one to five rinses, depending on the cycle.

The panel may show numbered or unlabeled intermediate levels. A setting being listed for the washer does not mean every cycle permits it: consult the cycle chart on English pages 37–38 of the manual when a selection is unavailable.

No Spin and Rinse Hold are different. No Spin drains without the final spin. With Rinse Hold (all spin indicators off), laundry remains in the final rinse water; a drain or spin process is needed before unloading.

What the other controls do

  • Pre Soak: adds 30 minutes before washing on supported cycles. It is unavailable on Quick Wash and Delicates in the manual’s cycle chart.
  • Delay End: sets completion 1–24 hours later in one-hour steps. Select the cycle and settings, choose the delay, then hold Start/Pause. The displayed delay refers to finishing, not starting.
  • Child Lock: hold Temp. and Rinse together for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate it.
  • Alarm Off: suppresses the completion melody and power-off beep; other sounds remain active.
  • Smart Care: a diagnostic aid, not remote cycle control.

Keep drum cleaning separate from laundry

Samsung recommends Self Clean at least monthly or every 40 cycles. Empty the drum first. Follow the manual’s cleaning instructions rather than adding your normal laundry detergent dose.
